Peter Walter VI extends an invitation to you to attend The Walter Robotics Expo July 18^th 2013, in San Diego, California!

His Great Great Grandfather always wanted to nurture creative and scientific minds, so they could embrace the nature of invention and share their knowledge with the world. WRX 2013 hopes to keep that spirit alive by showcasing a plethora of inventions, wonders, and whimsy from all over the globe! Every mad scientist, engineer, and time traveler this side of the blue matter rift will be on hand to exhibit their creations, including Peter himself and the Walter Steam Man Band.

Special guest exhibitors will be providing their own craft demonstrations and include Professor Elemental, The League of Steam, The League of Supremely Evil Revolutionaries (L.O.S.E.R), and Dino Staats.

Doors open at 3 PM with food for hungry scientists, and an assortment of vendors to peruse. This is also your chance to meet Steam Powered Giraffe in person with paid photo ops and free autograph sessions through the day.

At night the headline concert featuring Professor Elemental and Steam Powered Giraffe rocks San Diego, followed by the last autograph session for the evening.

The World’s Greatest Steampunk Festival!

Concert is 10pm on Saturday the 18th, in the Midway Grand Tent immediately following the "Centennial Exhibition Ball!"

When the World’s Fair started, there were many great Steampunk conventions, but few festivals. The Steampunk World's Fair were one of the first Steampunk festivals in the world and they remain one of very few festivals – and, perhaps, the best.

What might make this one the best?  It’s not simply the fact that they are, arguably, the largest event of this kind – but they are filling two hotels with an unbelievable amount of entertainment! Both the Radisson and the Embassy Suites in Piscataway New Jersey.

Spring For Steam Powered Giraffe!

Spring in Sepia is just around the bend on Saturday, April 13th!



This unique opportunity puts the robots of Steam Powered Giraffe with Abney Park in Everett, Washington. Hurry and reserve your seats! VIP tickets are sold out and general admission is almost gone!



Wild West Fest sees the end of the month on Friday, April 27th at Calico Ghost Town. The robots will be attending to bring more Steampunk Western flare to the event's busy weekend! Tickets will be sold at the door. The concert is at 6 PM.

Don't forget to plan for a San Diego Summer, because Gaslight III is in May and Steam Powered Giraffe is about to announce their Comic-Con plans!

Robots On A Roll!

A big thank-you to everyone who came to our recent San Diego show Saturday, February 16th- you made it a huge success! The new venue was such a hit, we've booked it again on Thursday, July 18th during Comic-Con! We'll have more details on this show soon, but for now there are still several opportunities to catch the robots again!

March 8th - 10th is Wild Wild West Con in Tucson, Arizona and the robots will be performing with Abney Park during the Saturday night concert! You'll also be able to attend SPG panels, photo ops, and autograph sessions the entire weekend!

If you find yourself in Southern California March 24th, Steam Powered Giraffe will be playing at The La Jolla Playhouse back in San Diego with two showtimes: A 2 PM matinee and an 8 PM evening performance. You can click here to reserve your tickets today!

April sees the premiere of the highly anticipated "Spring in Sepia" show starring the robots and Abney Park in Everett, Washington. The show promises to be a rocking experience with two of the steampunk scene's most unique bands. But hurry and reserve your seats! VIP tickets have already sold out and general admission is rapidly exhausting!

May leads into Steam Powered Giraffe's first east coast performance in New Jersey, followed by San Jose, Chicago, and even more shows to keep your Summer and Fall roboticized!

After our performance aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach California Friday January 11th, we have another local San Diego show February 16th! Doors open at 7:00pm and tickets are $20 each. This show will feature two hour-long Steam Powered Giraffe sets with an intermission in between them, all taking place in a ballroom at the Four Points Hotel. This show is all ages and as always, costumes are encouraged! Also, come hungry and thirsty as there will be food and drink available at the show, and for our 21 and up guests, alcohol can be purchased at the bar.

March will see the robots (and their humans) traveling to Tucson Arizona for Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention II March 8-10. The band will be moseying around Old Tuscon Studios throughout the convention and will be performing Saturday night alongside Abney Park! This is sure to be a rooting-tooting convention, and you're not going to want to miss out!

While there are still quite a few other shows after that and before April, we'd like to take the time to remind you of one particularly epic show. Steam Powered Giraffe will once again be performing with Abney Park in Everett Washington for a one-night-only performance April 13. It's going to be quite the theater concert spectacular, and we can't wait to share the epicness with you all!

On two last notes...

We are busily replenishing our merchandise supply and should have all of our CDs and DVDs back in stock within a few weeks. We'll also have more T-shirt sizes and hoodies back in-stock sometime in February, along with more wristbands. The holidays cleared out our supplies and we can't thank you all enough for your support!

Steam Powered Giraffe's unique vaudeville rock is sure to enchant folks from all walks of life, so bring your feet because you won't want to miss out on all the toe-tapping!

Welcome Hatchworth!

We'd like to welcome into the family the latest addition to Steam Powered Giraffe, Hatchworth the robot!

Some may recognize our latest addition as our former drummer Samuel Luke. He has taken up the reins to become the next automaton performer in the act.

You can catch Hatchworth's premiere performance at Youmacon in Detroit, Michigan this November! We've got a concert the night of Friday, November 2nd and we will be putting on special panels and signing autographs Saturday, November 3rd.

November 30th through December 2nd, the robots will be at Teslacon 2012 in Middleton, Wisconsin. While we enjoy everything the event has to offer, we'll also be mingling and promoting our big concert for 2013's Teslacon convention. It's about a year away, but you can still get your chance to meet the performers with photo ops and exclusive panels at this year's Teslacon.

The new year brings even more exciting events and concerts (see them lining up to the right on this page) as well as new projects from Walter's Steam Man Band, so attune your ears to the grinding gears for more announcements soon! Or better yet...sign up for our Newsletter!

The 2¢ Show Now Available!

The antique androids from Steam Powered Giraffe announce today the release of their second studio album, “The 2¢ Show”!

“The 2¢ Show” gives listeners a one-way ticket with the robots on-the-road through an antique America that is filled with both magic and mystery. Join Rabbit, The Spine, and The Jon as they travel to romanticized echoes of various eras. Eras such as the wild and weird west, where Jackalopes yodeled alongside singing cowboys and Giant Rattlesnakes were king. Aboard an enchanted steamboat, they head deep into a mystical south, finding Bog Spirits who boogie to twisted Zydeco tunes. From a decaying past, dieselpunk fables and crooning records melt with electric folk pop and psychedelic radiation to create the unique, yet timeless sound Steam Powered Giraffe makes.

In celebration of the album's release, Steam Powered Giraffe is holding a special party in their hometown on Friday, June 8th in San Diego, California. Join the robots for a historical night where many of the new album's songs will be played LIVE for the first time!

Late June sees the robots back at the World Famous San Diego Zoo for over 70 days of performances from June 23rd – September 4th. You'll be able to enjoy the new songs and all of the amazing animals at the zoo all summer long!
